Gianni There are differences and similarities between th repubublicans and democrats. I know one difference. The democrats want to raise taxes for the upper clas people so that they have to get more. Well the republicans disagree with that. The republicans think that everyone should pay the same amount of money and raise it more for everyone but not that much. So in this way they are different. But they are both trying to help the country.
Democrat and Repulican are both different parties in our government. They both have many different views on everything. Republicans are very fierce and believe we should have a strong army. Democrats are just the opposite. Th believe that we should help the people more. Both are very different in many ways.
The difference between Republicans and Democrats is that they agree with different laws. If a Republican was the president, then he might not pass a law that a Democrat would pass.

Democrats are mostly made up of liberals and Republicans are mostly made up of conservatives. When it comes to social issues, Democrats favor gay marriage and the woman's right to choose. Democrats also believe the government should provide a stricter limit on gun ownership due to high crime rates. Republicans tend to focus more on religion. Because of this, most, if not all Republicans don't approve of gay marriage. Also, most Republicans are pro-life and are against the legalization of prostitution. Most Republicans don't believe that the government should interfere with people's choices as much as liberals do. A lot of Republicans think the government should limit gun ownership. When it comes to economics, Republicans like to cut spending in the government and don't approve of raising the debt ceiling. For example, Republicans wouldn't agree on another stimulus because they think it would be a waste of money added to the national debt. Democrats are less strict on spending and would argue that spending money on a stimulus would be useful because it would save and create a lot of jobs. Republicans are also fond of drilling for oil in the US and some argue that building on green energy plants would be too expensive to operate. Democrats believe that green and renewable energy is the solution to unemployment, thus creating more jobs. They also agree that it will save the planet. When it comes to war Democrats believe that the US should get out of Iraq and Afghanistan soon. They believe that the US should handle its own problems first and foremost. For the most part Republicans believe that the US should get out of these countries when full democracy is in place, and Al-Qaeda and the Taliban are destroyed.

What I know about the two parties is small. I believe the main difference between the two however is this- Democrats want more government involved in peoples life, like greater health care and stuff. They are more environmental and like larger government. They want to help the workers by raising minimum wage and supporting welfare. They are mostly liberal and oppose the death penalty.

More of them are pro-life and they oppose gay marriage.A lot of their views are based on their religion and the don't think prostitution should be legalized. They support the right to bear arms and the death penalty. They think we should cut taxes and cut spending. They are against the healthcare reform and they like smaller governments. They are mostly conservative.
